President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has praised the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency following the dismantling of a major transnational drug trafficking network involving Nigerian and Mexican operatives.
The operation, described by authorities as one of the agency’s most significant breakthroughs in recent years, resulted in the arrest of foreign nationals, suspected local drug kingpins, and several collaborators linked to a sophisticated illicit drug production and distribution network. According to the NDLEA, chemicals and narcotics valued at more than $360 million were seized during coordinated raids carried out after weeks of intelligence gathering and collaboration with international security partners
